The amendments for the Agreement for Common Transit Regime published on Gazette No. 3863 with Presidential Decision is decided to be valid as of 1/1/2021 with EU-Common Transit Countries Common Committee Decision.
The approved decision includes:
– Great Britain and Northern Ireland United Kingdom (United Kingdom) declared the intention to participate to the agreement as an independent Contracting Party and invited to the agreement by the Council with the agreement depositor authorisation according to the agreement articles,
– Therefore, the attributions to the United Kingdom as a Member State in collateral forms shown as an example to some amendments of Attachment-3 of the agreement shall be deleted and United Kingdom shall be referred as a common transit country,
– A transition period shall be allocated to the United Kingdom to continue using the collateral forms published according to criteria before the participation date as a separate Contracting Party,
– The United Kingdom shall participate to the Agreement as a separate Contracting Party and this participation shall be linked to the participation date as a separate Contracting Party,
– The Agreement shall be amended accordingly.
